The Pastor's Pondering is updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Chuck Swindoll told a story about an experiment done with teens. Groups of ten teenagers were brought into a room. They had been instructed to raise their hands whenever the instructor pointed to the longest line on each of three charts. One student in the group, however, had no idea the other nine had been secretly instructed to raise their hands not for the longest line but for the second longest.
When the teacher pointed to the second longest line nine immediately raised their hands. The tenth did not, but he looked at all the others with their hands up, and then he raised his hand. Time after time the experiment was repeated. Time after time a stooge would raise his hand every time when the other nine did even though the student knew the line was much shorter than another. Time after time the student gave in and went with the crowd.
Have you ever wondered why the world does not act more Christian?
